After seeing the CityNation website, I quickly filled out the Application Form. They contacted to me to see what I wanted to do and how much help I needed, when to start, and other things like that. You know what I mean. The interesting part is, they gave me all this marketing material designed just for me. They also gave me a lot of training material and instructions. I read over all this stuff and they even phoned me to make sure I had everything organized, knew what to do and was ready to go out and start giving away their free advertising to local businesses so I could get some paid advertising orders for my FunFacts News. It was awesome. That really gave me the confidence I needed and it started earning me money right away.

Now, back to the getting started stuff.  I live in Newark, N.J. so CityNation did everything by tele-conference. The guy from CityNation explained how their marketing system works, how easy it is for me to use it, he showed me how to set up my home-office where I wanted to work, how to use their marketing system so I could start making money quickly, he answered all of my questions, and he made sure I read and understood all of the marketing and training material they gave me. We than established the schedule for our weekly tele-conference meetings. Wow. That's heavy duty help.

Here are some of the marketing items CityNation designed for me: The flyer that offers the free advertising in their online City Guide which I give to local businesses in my exclusive territory (includes Order Form), the flyer that offers the paid advertising in my local FunFacts News (includes prices and Order Form), a typical copy of the FunFacts News to show my customers, a typical copy of the City Guide to show my customers, the templates of different ad sizes and types for my customers to select and for me to easily use, the actual wording scripts that tells me what to say to my customers, the order forms I am to use, and the status reports I should use and send to CityNation.

After my first customer ordered advertising in my local FunFacts News, I sent the order in to CityNation and they completely designed it for me and sent it back to me. They also again went over everything, in our weekly tele-conference meeting, and made sure I knew the marketing system, how to present the flyers to new customers, my script of what to say to new customers, the order forms to be filled out, and they answered all of my questions about my first order for paid advertising. I was thrilled. I got my first paid advertising. I pay CityNation only a portion of the paid ads I get, for all the help they provide and the graphic design of the ads I get.  I know how everything works and I can run my own operation. I have a new career. And I love it. And I own my local business.

And that's how I got started. I organized my territory so that I visit the various businesses according to my part time work schedule. I work about 4 hours a day and my FunFacts News is issued monthly with about 20 ads each issue. A few of my customers have placed a yearly ad (12 months) many customers have placed 6 month ads, and the rest of my customers have placed 3 month ads. I now go on vacation whenever I want, without loosing any income because I trained my customers (ha, ha) on what to do. I now feel secure and happy to have a growing professional business. Some day I might expand my operation, get a second territory and hire someone to help me. Who knows. Anyway, I can plan my own future now. And I'm having a lot of fun.
